But I did the workout (Jillian’s 30 Day Shred for those of you who slept through yesterday’s entry) again today. Go me! Two days in a row and in spite of my muscles really not liking me at all. I just have to keep the end result in mind. And I do believe there WILL be a good end result – I know when I did it for just over a week before being away interfered with it and I stopped that I was starting to see results then, so I’m confident it will be the same this time.
My quads and abs in particular aren’t so convinced about it. I just keep telling them to trust me. And in effect trust Jillian. They’re dubious but for the moment still allowing me to live. (Aleve helps a little in that area as well.)
Also… Don’t laugh. I’m seriously looking into going to The Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge for a week after summer school. It’s honestly not that much more expensive than any of the Europe trips would be – especially when you consider that meals are included and I’d be kept busy hiking, working out, etc. And there appears – I need to call them to double check how it works – that if I choose, I can let them find me a roommate and it’ll drop the price by like $400. If I do that, I’d fly into Vegas (Ew?) and take a shuttle to the resort in Utah. If I do that, I will probably add on a night or two in Vegas if for no other reason than to do a tour to the Grand Canyon – honestly Vegas is one of those places that has no appeal for me, but I figure I should go once…like New Orleans was. Been there, done that, no need to ever go back again.). I mean, if I’m going to be that close… So… I don’t know. We’ll see. Even if things do really start dropping with the Shred, I still think it could be good and fun – you also learn about eating right and there are seminars and stuff. And it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than Canyon Ranch. A thought anyway.
I would love to go to the beach, but that can’t happen this year as the ‘rents got the beach house for Memorial Day week when there is no way I can go. 😦
School was ok. Nothing too out of the ordinary. We’re back in session. And in for a long haul until Memorial Day. Definitely feeling like there will be a “self treat day” in there sometime in the first part of May.
The day, however, was GORGEOUS! I think I heard it got up to 90 in New York?!?!?!? A new record. Of course we’re going to drop like 30+ degrees for the weekend. Just get back to the normal Spring temps. Ah well. Soon enough we’ll be complaining about how hot 90 degree days are and BEGGING for days 30 degrees cooler. We’re just never happy. I am going to try as long as possible to not put the air conditioner in the window. I’ll plan to get at least one more fan – put it in the living room. Two fans going will still be cheaper to run than the air conditioner. And I made it pretty far into this past summer before caving with only one fan. So I have confidence.
I guess that’s sort of the theme of this entry. Cue the singing now… 😛
